Developed by a group of local, visionary growers, Nice Rice has evolved to become a leading grower, miller and seller of rice in Australia.
With a rich family history in the heartland of Australian rice growing, the New South Wales Riverina region, we are led by some of the best growers and operators in the country.
Our vision? To become the leading sustainable rice producer in the country.
Our story
In 2020 at the local football oval, an early morning meeting with a group of ten local growers was convened to discuss the future of rice growing in the Riverina and surrounding New South Wales region, and was the first concrete step towards the creation of Nice Rice.
Over the next eighteen months the community’s vision came to life with the incorporation of Nice Rice, the Australian-grown rice production business developed locally for consumers across the nation.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is core to the Nice Rice vision and purpose. We collaborate with our buyers and suppliers to minimise the environmental impact from paddock to plate. We understand the importance of technology in shaping a greener future and have made a strong investment to be leaders of sustainability in the Australian rice industry.
OUR REGION
The Riverina region is renowned for its temperate climate, clean environment and beautiful soils. It is these factors of the ecosystem that make the region home to 98% of all of the rice grown in Australia, the home of the rice growing industry, infrastructure and history.
